ROV Buoyancy

F-TEC provides ROV buoyancy blocks for Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV) and related ROV tooling suited to a depth of 2000msw.

F-TEC chemistry is adaptable to produce an epoxy/microsphere syntactic block which can have macro spheres added during the manufacturing process to increase uplift for a specific volume.

We provide engineering support/design throughout product design and manufacture stages.

For further information contact F-TEC.

Features:

  • Blocks are poured or machined to produce a custom design
  • Suitable for bolt on additions, providing additional buoyancy to existing configuration
  • Fibreglass/Syntatic skin available for increased impact strength
  • Inserts can be cast into blocks

ROV Buoyancy Repair Kits

Off the shelf Remote Operated Vehicle, (ROV) repair kits designed for onsite/offshore application suited to a water depth of 2000msw.

F-TEC chemistry allows onsite repairs, cold cure 2 part system kits, contains all components required for the specific repair with no requirement for tooling or heating.

Provides a long term buoyant repair solution.

UHMWPE ROV Frames

F-TEC provides UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) frames for ROVs and ROV tooling (Remote Operated Vehicle).

UHMWPE frames are a buoyant alternative to Aluminium frames. F-TEC can machine UHMWPE to a client’s specific requirements. The frame can be screwed, bolted and/or clamped together to provide a frame work suitable for harsh under water operating conditions.

With the following characteristics, UHMWPE is a functional, buoyant alternative to heavy expensive Aluminium.

Features:

  • Machinable Sheets and Rods to produce and design
  • High impact resistance, highest of all thermo plastics, comparable to steel
  • High abrasion resistance, better than Steel
  • Low friction, better than Teflon
  • Buoyant
  • Chemically and UV resistant
  • No moisture absorption
